Saku Koivu Lists Irvine Home for Sale

Saku Koivu, a fifteen year veteran of the NHL, has listed is Irvine home for sale, asking $6.59 million.

Koivu  and his wife purchased the home in 2009 for $4.975 million.  This recent listing comes a month after Anaheim Duck’s general manager Bob Murray announced the Koivu would not be extended a contract this off-season.

This celebrity real estate boasts a Tuscan-style residence with 7,400 square feet of living space with seven bedrooms and six full bathrooms. It features a fossilized stone and reclaimed brick exterior with antique roof tiles and five fireplaces salvaged from France.  There is a 1,500-bottle wine cellar, a gourmet kitchen, telescoping wall of glass and handsome beams throughout.
