- Athlete Relocation Continues in NFL

So, did you think that simply because the NFL season is two weeks old that players were all settled and no relocation was happening?  In the NFL, as in all professional sports leagues, player transactions happen constantly and that means that all throughout the season players are facing a possible relocation and disruption to their lives.

Take this week in the NFL for example.  During the past five days the following transactions occurred:

  • David Anderson, wide receiver, signed with the Titans
  • Brandon Stokely, wide receiver, signed with the Giants
  • Donald Lee, tight end, signed with the Bengals
  • Donald Thomas, guard, signed with the Patriots
  • Scott Albritton, center, signed with the Buccaneers
  • Brad Maynard, punter, signed with the Browns
  • Jamon Meredith, tackle, signed with the Steelers
  • Nick Novak, kicker, signed with the Chargers
  • Justine Peele, tight end, signed with the 49ers

So, recapping, in the past five days nine players have been signed with new teams and an additional thirteen players signed on practice squads.  What goes without saying is that for each player signed there was someone cut from a roster or a player heading home because of injury.  So in effect in the past five days there were forty-four players in transition and that means relocation.

Few people outside of professional sports can understand the total upheaval involved in relocation for a professional athlete.  This is not a move across town we are talking about, nor is it a move that is planned months in advance.  Quite often  relocation for an athlete happens almost immediately, meaning from the time the player is notified of the relocation they literally have 24-48 hours to appear at their new city.

Well, a simple call to the airport takes care of relocating the athlete, but what of their possessions and vehicles and most importantly their family?  If the player has moved on what do they do about all of those nagging loose ends that most people have months to take care of?

The answer could be…..the answer should be… call the pros at and let us handle all facets of relocation for you.  You play sports at an incredibly high skill level.  We handle relocations at a skill level every bit as high as yours and we do our job well.  You give us a call, tell us what you need done and we do it.  No worries for you the athlete so you are left to do what you do best, namely play at a high level.

Give us a call and let us do what we do best.…..the number one choice among athletes when relocation is a reality.
